The Radio Academy is a registered charity dedicated to the encouragement, recognition and promotion of excellence in UK radio broadcasting and audio production.
The academy helps out the SRA by providing us with a registered address for the company, as well as advice and assistance when necessary. Student Radio Association members are also granted free access to RA events.
The Radio CentreThe role of RadioCentre is to maintain and build a strong and successful Commercial Radio industry — both in terms of listening hours and revenues. As such, RadioCentre operates in a number of areas including working with advertisers and their agencies, working with government, Ofcom and policy makers, and also stations themselves.
The Radio Centre has in the past provided the SRA with office space and storage at key times of year, as well as providing speakers and talent from the commercial radio industry for our conference and the awards.
BBC Radio 1
Always supportive of student radio - from the very first Student Radio Awards through to our most recent conference, the BBC - and especially Radio 1 play a big part in Student Radio events - as well as providing opportunities for work experience to student radio people.
Student Radio Alumni
Student Radio Alumni are vital to the work of The SRA, helping out with our events, judging awards - and much more besides.
Thepips.co.ukThepips.co.uk shares the SRA's passion of helping our members prepare themselves for the world of radio. The website is a hive of information, tips, guidance and advice on taking the next step into a career in radio.
